Tupton Parish Council - 26 September 2017

The Tupton Safe Space Group aimed at supporting people with mental health issues was to be launched in the village hall on 9th October 2017. The Chairman of the group would be invited to attend a future meeting of the Council to provide an update on the groups activities.

Nominations were invited for the Tupton Memorial Scheme, which was designed to recognise those individuals in the Parish that had contributed to Voluntary Organisations or helped improve the lives of local people. Nominations forms with further details of the scheme are available on the website. Suggestions for memorials such as plaques or plants were welcome and would be considered along other ideas put forward by the Council.

The Council had once again joined the County Councilsí Winter Service Scheme. As part of the scheme the Parish Council was inviting people to come forward and act as a Snow Warden. This would involve co-ordinating snow clearing activities and providing regular reports to the County Council on what the conditions were likely locally in the event of any heavy snow fall. Anyone able to offer any support during periods of heavy snowfall should contact the Clerk to the Council for more information. Tel 01246 238738 or email clerk@tuptonpc.org.uk

The next meeting of the Council will be held on Tuesday 24 October 2017 at 7pm in the Village Hall, all welcome to attend. Dates for future Council meetings for the next year are included on the Council website and notice boards.
